Hi folks,

I need your help. My wife is raising money for a wonderful cause that helps our Veterans. It’s called War Horses for Veterans. They use horses to help our Veterans cope with the myriad of issues they encounter after serving, from PTSD to giving them a new sense of purpose.

Below is a link where you can donate. I sincerely appreciate your generosity. Let’s make this drive a huge success!

That’s a great cause. We support a local organization called Therapeutic Riding of Tucson (TROT). When you see the joy that a wheelchair-bound veteran gets from riding a horse, and the sense of freedom that comes with it, you can’t help but become emotional.

We’re already working locally, but I encourage all LJs to support the cause MadGerman is working on.

I wish you well in this, and appreciate you and your wife, along with anyone else that helps Veterans. Try to not get discouraged by perceived failures or those that scoff and walk away. Some do well in groups, others require a more one on one approach. I can tell you from experience that if the person was anti-social / or social deficient this would have been enhanced in the service. Especially if they were say special ops / recon and such.
