Large scale round table top

Hello fellow LJ,e a po I have a possible commission coming up for a very large dinning room table. I am looking at claro walnut as the top. Here is the issue the client wants ti to be round and to sit 16 people. My shop is not set up to make such a large top, so I am asking if any of you know of any shop I could sub the construction out to. I am in In. but shipping is not a big deal. Any ideas?

Depending on the space needed for each person, you’re looking at a top diameter between 10’ – 12’. If I were doing this, I would look at using a router and a large circle cutting jig. Depending on the thickness of the top, 3-4 passes with the router should give you a nice cut.
