Looking at the current Lowe’s sales ad and it looks like they have started selling craftsman brand items.
I knew sears had sold the brand I just figured it would b a few years before all the dust settled and we started seeing Craftsman stuff elsewhere

They sold the brand to Black and Decker, and them coming to Lowes was in all the financial papers a few months ago – although they were speculating they wouldn’t hit the shelves until late 2018. Guess they are a bit ahead of schedule :)

Cheers,
Brad

Yeah I remember when they sold. I don’t think I’d heard a date of when other store would have them tho. Seems really fast but I guess BD really wanted to get some stuff cranked out. I wonder if the hand tools are still being made in America? I remember BD saying they were gonna build a huge factory at one point

yep – I saw some of the tools at my Lowe’s yesterday.
I didn’t shop the tool area so I don’t know what inventory they will carry.

IIRC, Stanley is building a US plant to consolidate manufacturing of its various hand tool brands under one roof. Seems like it’s out west. They’ve been planning it for awhile.

I wonder if I can now get them replaced per warranty at Lowe’s. Probably make them mad but hey I can ask right?

I was in town today at Lowes to buy a new DeWalt 12” sliding compound miter saw and new blade, and I didn’t see any Craftsman products there….I was pretty much all over the tool department…...!! I may have just missed it, but I don’t think so…!

It’ll b interesting to see if any other store come out with craftsman products. Walmart sells all sorts of BD stuff so they might come out with some
