Anyone have issues with the footlever breaking?

I have just broke my second one in a year or so

Are your levers the plastic or aluminum? If plastic, they make replacement aluminum ones. If they are the aluminum ones try a little grease on the face of them and it will make moving them up and down much easier. The grease will get all gummed up but it is easy to clean and re-grease.

I was initially worried about the plastic levers but I have not had any issues.
I have two of the HTC 2000 bases that are over 10 years old and two that are one and two years old.
The oldest two are on my tablesaw and bandsaw and the newer ones are on the drill press and jointer.
Everything gets moved regularly.
I have one of the Portamate bases with the aluminum levers (about 9 years old). and both of the levers bent, I no longer use that one.
