A Craigslist ad recently caught my eye. A fellow had purchased a Craftsman jointer in 1999, and never used it. Not only unused, but still in the strapped unopened box in the back of his garage. I paid him $150 for it, opened the box, and put it together. Everything was sealed in plastic, nicely machined, well written instructions, everything fit together perfectly. It’s a Craftsman model number 351.22724. It almost seems a shame to get sawdust on it!

Nice, it would look better with some saw dust on it though.

I didn’t find your location, but I’ll be there Wednesday to pick it up. $300.00 cash. Teehee!

Speaking of sawdust, there’s no built in dust collection on this machine. Next project is figuring out how to build that in.

Must be something about Craftsman tools and assembly. My dad bought one of their RAS and it sat in the box for years until I noticed it and assembled it for him. He was a little afraid of it and never used it. I got the update/recall for it and installed it, he still never used it. I eventually inherited it.

Good find on the jointer!
