Topic tags/keywords: question jointer

Picked up this little planer/jointer for a few bucks a couple months ago, cleaned the rust of off it, put an edge on the blades but, i’d like to find a copy of the manual for it if one exists. I have done a good bit of digging for it, however, not finding much luck in my efforts. Only one I found so far is a photocopied version for $10, I’d rather see if someone could hook me up with a scan before buying it off of ebay…

Looks exactly like the one in the link below…

Thanks in advance!

SubSonicGrove,
I just picked up the same jointer. I was wondering if you ever found a manual. If you did, would you be willing to share with me?
Thanks

There you go.
- Brawler

That manual you linked to is for a completely different jointer!

The jointer in question was made for Sears (Craftsman) by American Machine and Tool (AMT), and based on the photo, it appears to be their 4-1/8” model from back in the 70’s; a 2432 or a later model 2433. Two versions were offered – one with bronze sleeve bearings and one with ball bearings. A manual for it can be found over at the Vintage Machinery site here:

2432 and 2432B Jointer Operating Instructions and Parts List

Cheers,
Brad
