Hello fellow jocks, to day i was asked about a product called Y2 it is supposed to be some kind of poly. I could not find it on google and was hoping the experts could help.

I think you may be referring to K2 polyurethane. Nasty stuff heath wise for the novice finisher.

still not enough information – - – are you making the counter top ??
if the other party is asking about a certain finish, have them provide you the specs.
if not, use your own best judgement of several excellent table top finishes available.

John, the question was presented to the owner of the saw mill where I get my wood from, So basically all I know it is wood and a counter top. I am not making the top. I relayed the pertinent information and told him to suggest the other available counter top epoxies. Thanks to all for the info
