Are these burls? and are they worth anything?

Do you think they are better in slabs or turned as burls? Are they worth anything and my time?

I think us dummies want to know what kind of trees are those on?,,,,,,and what part of the county that’s in.

I believe it is an Oak Tree in Eastern Pennsylvania

For wood turners they are a potential gem in the rough. Also carefully dried and sliced they could be great for burl inlays or tops on boxes and the like. Of course the bigger the better.
There are wood thieves who go looking for those on both public and private land because there is a good market for them.
