I have been lurking for a while and decided to finally register. As soon as I started entering my email address, Firefox notified me that the registration was unsecure and could be seen/hacked by third parties. Firefox warned me that if I was going to enter information, to make sure that I didn’t use any passwords that were important to me. It also suggested that I try to enter https:// before the website as that might be more secure. Lumberjocks would not load with https (or http) in front of it.

I decided to register anyway, but this might have kept me away and might in the future keep others away. Something to look into.

This site does not currently use HTTPS. Since we don’t store any private information (like credit cards) and advise everyone NOT to use the same password on multiple sites, it hasn’t been something they were previously concerned with. That being said, there are plans to make the site HTTPS but I do not yet have an ETA as to when that will happen.

Nice you are worried, but if the credit score people can’t keep your information safe or any other web site for that matter, you can rest assured that your safe at home here. ;)

”Firefox says site is unsecure”

So does Google Chrome. Cricket told you why.

Occasionally you’ll get this from Google Safe Browsing “Google Safe Browsing recently detected phishing on Phishing sites pretend to be other websites to trick you”.

No Big Deal Either. Relax. You’re Safe!
