I have a very old Disston saw that I inherited from my grandfather who died in 1968; he was a lifelong carpenter and this was the one thing I wanted of his. I recently discovered it in our attic after many years of thinking I had lost it in a move.
I have no idea what it’s worth or if the condition is so bad that it is worthless. I am asking some LJ’s to give me a clue, make me an offer, etc.
I would rather someone get some use out of this after so many years of being hidden away.

Thanks for any information/offers

It might be a D-23 from the late 40’s to early 50’s. Sentimental value is probably going to win out over monetary value.

Thanks Mike; after 50 years and since it was ‘lost’ for so many of those, there isn’t much sentimental value!

Hopefully if you really don’t want to keep it someone local to you will give it a good home. If not let me know and we’ll try to work something out but by the time shipping is figured into the deal I think I’d have way too much invested
