I’m moving to Maryville next month and will be there for a year and possibly a few months after that. My wife and I have a baby and a toddler which means using an attached garage in our rental will almost always interfere with someone sleeping.

I make a part time living as a woodworker and I’m slowly transitioning to full time, so I’d spend quite a bit of time in the shop. I’d prefer to find at least a 1 car garage sized space – preferably a 2 car garage sized space – to use for woodworking whenever I need to.

If you’ve got some space available that might work, please contact Adam at 260-437-2476.

Your kids will sleep through the noise once the get used to it. I daughter fell asleep at the table (she was 2) while I hammered the dining room windows for replacement. I almost forgot she was there 10’ away.

Ha. Maybe your kids did. My 2 year old still won’t sleep through anything. He’s a great sleeper as long as the house is quiet, but power tools seem to do the trick and he’s awake.

There is a maker’s space in Knoxville that is relatively inexpensive and well equipped. Don’t know of any rental operations otherwise. Consider joining the East TN Woodworkers Guild when you arrive. They meet every other month at the Maryville High School. You might get some better leads there but in any case you will enjoy the club as they have generally good programs and lots of good people.
