Is this a decent saw or a decent deal? Grizzly 1022 for $300. It looks like it says 1990 on the motor. I’ve heard mixed things about Grizzly, but the price looks ok.

It’s ok saw, not a good price, not a good fence. The basic guts are fine, but I’d wouldn’t spend more than $150ish for a saw like that.

I agree with knotscott. Old contractor saw. If it were a Craftsman, they wouldn’t get more than $100.00 for it. If you want an older saw, wait for an old cabinet saw to come available. You would have to spend a few hundred dollars more for it, but it will do everything you want for a long time. You may find yourself frustrated with a contractor’s saw like this in the near future, and be looking for a cabinet anyway.

Just my two cents.
