Topic tags/keywords: locating specific projects question

Has anyone figured out how to make the search box find specific items? If I type in 3D cutting boards, I just get the general projects. Also, If I identify specific pages of posts, is there a way to go directly to that page/project?

-- I may not have a lot of good ideas, but some of them are just incredible.

I get frustrated too when searching to see if what I’m looking for has already been addressed. Odds are it has. Many sites have Google engines built in that allow sophisticated queries that are limited to the site. I wish they would incorporate that into LJ. If it is available, please let me know.

Try this. Go to Google and in the search box put in this string. 3d cutting board

Most public sites are google indexed and you can perform a search right from google using their indexing which is probably a lot more thorough than lumberjocks. For this one I just added the text “3d cutting board” but you can put whatever you want. Give it a try and see if it’s any better.

Have your say...
