I have spent the last week or so (since obtaining a FREE 113 TS) reading through all of the forums and posts on here related to the 113 and the fence dilemma…

My question… now that the Delta Fence is $300 on amazon is it still the best option?

Based on my limited research, it looked like the Vega was easier to install…

Thanks so much!!

I( have this fence, has worked good for 2 1/2 years or so. It is adaptable as far as making the rails longer. So if you want the fence to travel the full length of your saw on both sides you need only purchase 3/16” angle 1 1/2” and a 2” square tube. Cut to fit, drill some holes and you have a upgrade over anything on the market for less than $75 and a few hours of time.

I’ve seen the T2 for closer to $200 at Lowes, HD, Ebay, Toolbarn, etc. The Shop Fox W1410 is $182 shipped from Amazon, and could make more sense than spending $300 on a T2 for that saw. At $300 my preference would be for the Vega or Shop Fox Aluma Classic.

I had an Incra TS III on my Craftsman 113 and was VERY happy with it. When I replaced my C’man I moved the fence to my new Griz 1023. I am still very happy with it. Superb accuracy, and repeatability that upped my woodworking game considerably. Look into it, you might like it. The Incra was not hard to install either. It will fit any TS with a 27” deep table. There is another version for wider tables too. Work safely have fun and good luck.

Delta T3 is currently $209 at Home Depot.

That’s the route I took with my craftsman 113 and I’ve been happy so far with it. I’m slowly getting into woodworking, so it’s a great option to learn off of.

Just make sure you get your blade and saw all tuned up before upgrading the fence.

He’s referring to the T3 on his craftsman. Only he upgraded the rails and tubing to add to the rip capacity on both the left and right side.

Using the recommended T3 mounting option, you get ~13.5” to the left and ~30” to the right of the blade on the craftsman

Does anyone know exactly what the differences are between the T2 and T3 besides price?

Cheers,
Brad

I think it’s mostly the handle.

T2:

T2 has 2 inch square rails the fence rides on. T3 has 3 inch by 2 inch rails the fence rides on. Not interchangeable so far as I can tell.
