Hi all. Need help figuring out what these 2 things are.
1) Little hand tool that came in a RAS drawer. Outer end spreads when tightened, drill bit inside.
2) Some kind of hub, was thinking for a flat belt but idk really. 3/4” keyed shaft, 7 3/4” diameter, has no crown, 5 1/4 lbs.
Sorry, My phone/camera sucks
Thanks for any help

Pen vise?

Some kind of pulley?

The key ways and balancing holes make me agree with pull. Maybe an idler wheel?

Jeweler’s drill? The grip would help it stay centered on a round bead (a GUESS).

Sanding drum? What brand of RAS did you get? Maybe it’s an accessory for it.

Hmm, my guess is that the little tool is for drilling a pilot hole in the center of an existing hole. One would expand the fingers in the existing hole, and the pass the drillbit through them.

As for the bell-shaped object, I don’t think it is part of the RAS. It is keyed to fit on a shaft (a motor?). It has been balanced by drilling on the inside, suggesting that the working surface is the outside. It may be the drive wheel of a strip sander, and the missing upper /idler wheels would be crowned to keep the strip on the wheels.

Reminds me of some sort of medical device. Maybe for reaming out hemorrhoids? LOL

It’s obviously a paper weight for holding down dollar bills. Very rare.
