Topic tags/keywords: question

I have a line on buying, from a friend, a Grizzly g1022 table saw (stamped made in Taiwan).
It has the fence, extension wings and miter gauge with a big heavy 1 1/2 HP motor all on a nice mobile base.
The top is not in any way rusted it just looks like old cast iron.
The unit runs very smooth, I do not think I will even need to install a new belt and it comes with two 10” blades and a wobble dado. He is asking $100 firm.
Good / Fair price?
The only down side I can see is taking the saw off the base and removing the motor . . . it will still be extremely heavy to move!

Depending on which model, that thing is light – maybe 250 pounds at most. Moving it should be easy if you have help. $100 is a good price if it’s in good condition. Motor alone is probably worth at least half that. I would toss that wobble dado thing though.

$100 is fair for one of those. The basic saw is fairly decent. The fence is marginal.
