Happy Super Bowl Sunday,

I am upgrading my table saw to the entry level hybrid the G0771Z for $895. I see that model G0833P at $1,095 is almost identical with a few upgrades. Here is my question:

For those who got the G0771Z, how do you like the fence. For the G033P owners, same question.

Is there anyone who has had a good chance to see both models and fences? If so, what are your thoughts?

Going from a much cheaper contractor/portable saw to the Grizzly, the fence will be much better, but how much and is the extra money worth the upgraded fence?

Thank you in advance for your comments.

What causes you to think you need to upgrade the fence? What problems have you encountered?

My 771 fence is deadly accurate. Try using the stock one first. See how you like it.

Good morning Doug,

I actually just posted a question asking the differences last week. Last night, Grizzly sent me an email with the differences. How much the differences will matter in your decision is your call, but I’m going to go with the 0833P because of the dust collection, steel rails and the fence I have a feeling. Here’s a link to my post with their response.

I have owned the G0771Z for about a year now and have kept everything stock on it so far. I haven’t had any issue with the fence ever limiting, or impairing my cuts at all. I found that it was fairly easy to make the necessary adjustments (which were few) to get it square to the blade. I haven’t checked it in a couple of months, but the last time I did it was still square and measuring right on with the gauge on the rails. My only beef is the aluminum rails since I put a router table on the extension and I have to be very mindful of not pressing down hard on the back (aka infeed side for the router) otherwise it will deflect some. I plan on putting a leg on it soon, but for now I’m just careful. Hope that helps and good luck with your choice.
