I've heard of hot pipe bending before but never thought to use a curling iron! Check out the project he makes…calls it a through in lay cutting board. I'm going to try it! Looks neat and simple!

I was thinking that to! Likely they are a dime a dozen. They make a tapered curling iron…my wife has one. I'm not sure what they are exactly for but i was wondering if you could make a lamp shade with one…
BandsawJeff Yes I did! Cut some strips of silver maple on the band saw, used an improvised scraper to smooth up the strip and bend it into shape by spritzing it with a spray bottle and then shaping it around a curling iron. I didn't know tapered curling irons existed, but I like the lamp shade idea.
