Back ground, I have a 30 tooth woodworker 2 that is awesome. I am not opposed to buying a 40 tooth fact it may even be leading. My question is, if you had to pick between Ridge Carbide, Tenryu Gold or Infinity, what would you pick. Leaning towards Ridge

Five saws, five Tenryus. Plus five spares. To be fair, I’ve not tried any of the others you mentioned.

I’d be interested in this thread. I’ve used the 40T WWII forever, and they do so well just never tried anything else. I tried the SS gold blade and it was a good lower cost alternative, but not quite to the level of the WWII.

My son fired my break so I will have to get another blade.

The TS2000, Gold Medal, and WWII 40T have pretty similar performance characteristics due to lots of similarities in their grinds. The Infinity Super General differs with a Hi-ATB top bevel and dual side grind, and excels more in crosscuts, ply, and clean ripping in thinner materials. Obviously all of these 40T blades will have improved crosscuts compared to the 30T, and will be less efficient at ripping, but there will be a fair amount of overlap in the capabilities of a 30T WWII and a 40T WWII/TS2000/Gold Medal…..less so with the Super General. Since you already have the excellence in thicker ripping with the 30T, I’d lean toward the Super General.
