When I was 11, 12 years old, I didn’t even know what a lathe, or resin, or a bandsaw, pr a belt sander were. This video is well worth viewing in its entirety.

Now, I go to look at some nore of this kid’s ingenuity.

Enjoy.

Just one more:

A kid named Felix did this, when he was about thirteen.

The kid has some serious skills, Mark.

I just was playing around with some acrylic casting/turning. Mine was just a small bowl cast from Alumilite. It was fun to do except for the cleanup afterwards- it looked like it had snowed in the shop!

wow-the kid is awesome !

thanks Mark for sharing…... wait until he sets up a vacuum chamber for the resin projects.

when I was 13, I took wood shop in high school. just plain wood – no fancy additives like resin, etc.
today’s kids are spoiled (but some in a good way).

Thanks for sharing this Mark. Hid dad has been mentoring him for quite awhile I suspect. Good for dad and good for him for his willingness to learn.
