Hello everyone, what’s your bucket list project? I have multiple ones, I’d like to build a wooden run about boat like an old CrisCraft, also on my list is a wooden barrel and a Windsor chair. Your turn, what’s on your list.

That’s the best answer so far. So if people have a bucket list project, what’s keeping them from doing it?

For woodworking, I take 1 a year to study and complete. Last year was carved rocking chair, this year was waterfall bench/table design. Haven’t decided yet what next year will be.

Because I want it to be perfect and don’t yet have the skills to make it so IMO. ie I have yet to make a mortise and tenon or a nice leg taper etc. After tackling (practicing) those on other projects then maybe I’ll do a prototype of the chair. In the mean time I’ve got plenty of stuff to keep me busy and will try and incorporate my missing skills into them.

That’s an easy one; A chair in my signature style.

Once I figure out what that signature style will be… a chair will be made.
...one of these days.

Don’t have one anymore. After a working life of woodworking (boats) my long stated “retirement project” was to build myself a Friendship Sloop in which to enjoy my retirement years. It is my first project posted on LJ http://lumberjocks.com/projects/37786
I built her in 2006 and have sailed her every summer since. She is still a great boat and I enjoy her more every year.
..... so I did have one ….... but not anymore. :-)
