I just completed a set of bed for my grandsons (see photo in projects) and have a question about bed slats. The original plans were for twin beds and called for 1/2” plywood for the mattress foundation. I could use 3/4” plywood, but the full size bed would require two pieces for each bed (4 full sheets of plywood). Do you think using carsiding laid the width of the bed would be better than using 1×4 material for the slats? Thanks for your help.
