Hey everyone. I’d like to purchase a few books, or find a few articles on building modern day log cabins. By this I mean building a log cabin home, that will be more or less up to modern building code. My wife & I are looking to build in a year or so, and we want all the amenities of a modern home (tankless hot water, electricity, possibly solar, etc) in a log home. There are some older books that are very useful, but many focus on staying minimalistic & small. While we would like to keep these values in our planning, we want to combine 21st century technology with the styles of yesteryear construction. Anything from cutting corners to save money, to actual construction helps. I’d prefer to not have many “idea” books suggested, as I can find a ton of stuff online about that. Raw construction plans and tips are preferred!

If you’ve come across something that might be up our alley, please comment below!
