I’m very new to turning. I was trying to find some good videos of segmented turning on youtube. I’m looking for something like a segmented bowls for dummies to get started lol. I know about the sleds and how to turn. But I’m more curious in the design of the segments. Like wide to make them, how long, how to do complex designs, etc. Any resources are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Another good source of info is Jim Rodgers … ... Jim has a very good book that you can also get through Amazon:

Go to Denny has a bunch of videos and on all of them, he takes you through the process from design to cutting the segments, then glue up and turning.
