Hello, this is my first post.

I have never owned (or really used) a bandsaw before, but have come to see the benefits of having one in my shop. My primary use will be resawing hardwood boards. A Felder FB-510 is around $4,500.00 ! here, plus taxes & delivery; I can get the Rikon for around $3,200, including taxes and delivery. I presume that the Felder may well be a better built machine, but would the Rikon (4 h.p.) likely meet my needs? I cannot really afford the Felder anyway, and Laguna’s customer service record and user reviews make me uncomfortable considering their machines.

Thanks for any suggestions/recommendations you would like to offer.

I’m sure it’s an adequate band saw but for that
chunk of change in the continental US most buyers
would be expecting more than adequate.

If you cannot get used machinery in your area at
all buying new may be your only option.

MiniMax/SCMI make good band saws too.

Have your say...
