Big Blue had their 1/2” arbor slot cutting arbors on clearance for 6 bucks, so i picked one up…My question is, can I use a 1/4” slot cutting blade to make the grooves in in a stub tenon & Groove door frame? Would it basically be the same idea as if I were using a dado blade – groove flip end for end and grove again to make sure its centered?

should I use an 1/8th inch instead of the 1/4 to give myself some leeway? This could speed up my door/drawer production if so…thanks..
