Topic tags/keywords: dust collection connection 2729 flex pipe

A frequent question about DC installs entails going from sewer pipe (ASTM2729) to flex duct. Here’s how I did it.

Cut slots around the end of the pipe. This is 6” pipe.

Tighten a band clamp at the bottom of the slots to pinch the end down.

The diameter is just under 6”

Slide the flex on the end of the pipe.

Remove the band and wiggle the flex down to cover all the slots.

Put the band over the flex, tighten and Bob’s your uncle!

Works on 4” too.

There is never a shortage of clever people on here, is there?
