Topic tags/keywords: dw 745 fence bowed tablesaw

I’m new to woodworking and bought this saw about 6 weeks ago and I have been very happy with it. Lately I have noticed trouble getting a dead square cut. investigated and discovered that the fence is bowed! anybody else run into this and what did you do? I think my first step is to contact DeWalt. Any input would be appreciated. I thought of adding a second flat layer to the fence but that will throw my index measurements off. anyone?

If you bought it new, talk to the retailer about replacing it. If not, contacting DeWalt is a good plan. Unless it’s under warranty, it might be more expensive to replace than you want to spend.

If you wind up having to keep the fence, my recommendation would be to add a 1” thick auxiliary fence to it. You’ll have to remember to account for that in your setups, but it’s easier than messing with fractions.
