Not sure if this is the right place to post, if not, apologies ahead of time to both Cricket and and board regulars…

Just wanted to post looking for any opinions from any of you guys that have bought wood from Bell Forest, especially the hand picked section of their website. Good, bad, great or poor customer service, delivery speed, anything you want to share would be much appreciated.

I’m getting ready to start pushing out a lot of smallish jewelry boxes for Christmas gifts for my co-workers, and have found several boards that have some nice figure on their website, but want to get some opinions on them from people I trust more than the reviews on their site, if anyone was curious.

Thanks guys….

I’ve used them several times. Actually I just bought one of their 10bf project packs with the 20% off coupon. Once of the boards had some issues; a lot of bark inclusion and junk. I sent them a few pictures and told them what the issue was and I have a replacement on the way. I’ve ordered several time and this is the first issue I’ve had but it was resolved very quickly.

The biggest thing/issue is shipping. Shipping speed has always been acceptable and occasionally you can get a free shipping coupon for orders over $100. But overall I’ve been very satisfied with them. I live in an area where I just can’t go buy a board so it’s nice to see the dimensions and pictures of what you’re getting.

You said ”...a lot of…”. Do you have anyone locally? Buying a whole lot of stuff can get expensive. So if there is someone locally you can buy from I’m pretty sure you’ll come out way ahead in price.

I’ve been very satisfied with them.

Thanks, Scott…main thing I was concerned with on them was their customer service, which from your experiences and some others I found last night after doing a google search after work, but sounds like a good place to order from. Guess I’m going to get started on those boxes then in the next week or so.

As for locally, yeah, we have several suppliers out here near Dallas, which I’ll be hitting them up for lumber for the majority of the boxes, but really wanting something extra nice for the boxes I’ll be making for the managers…have my eye on a few really nice boards on bell forest’s site, and will most likely order them Friday while still checking local guys, so I figured if I find something I just can’t pass up at the local places, bonus for me since then I’ll have several really nice boards to choose from for the boxes and maybe even make something nice for my wife….

I don’t have anywhere local so I use them to pick my boards for certain projects.
So far, they’ve been perfect and cost effective.

Have your say...
