There’s a beautiful Casadei thickness planer for sale on a Dutch auction site so I contacted the seller and made him a good offer. I’ve worked with many brands over the years (SCM, Martin, Robland, Griggio, Bauerle) but this particular model by Casadei is one of my favourites. It’s quiet with almost no vibration, it has useful infeed speed setting (5, 10, 15 and 20 metres per minute) and electric height adjustment. I really hope the seller accepts my offer.

Wishing you the very best of luck on him accepting you offer! I’m quite sure you’ll put it to excellent use and care.

I recently started my own small shipyard and I go through a lot of Teak, Oak and Cherry. I’m now using an old beaten up loaner from a dealer I’m friends with that’s running on its last legs and can’t really handle hard wood all that well anymore. This one will make life much easier for me.

I got an e-mail from the seller this morning and it’s mine :) I have to pick it up myself but that’s not a problem because I have 2 weeks of vacation right now. I’m so happy I got this bad boy.
