Ive been asked to re-finish a beautiful mahogany Federal style sideboard made by the Williams-Kimp Co. They were around between 1923 and 1951. Does anyone know anything about them? I need to know whether this desk is worth anything before I touch it. Id hate to re-finish an antique and destroy its value. I have not been able to find a match for it online.

Any info would be appreciated.

That looks very similar to a bedroom set my parents had. It’s good quality furniture (better than most made today) but I doubt if it’s a museum piece.

How are you planning to refinish it?

I like the furniture badge are the drawers dovetailed?
