I got a sanding bar from my dad that is called a Wonder Bar. I don’t know how long ago he got it but it was probably 10 years or more… The bar feels like rubber and as you sand the grit breaks away and there is new grit. The one I have is a finer grit that I use all the time to clean and polish my steel tools. Its so much better then having to deal with sheet after sheet of sand paper.

I did some searching online and cant find anything about these sanding bars. If anyone knows somewhere that still sells these please let me know. I would love to buy some more and different grits.

Like this?? on amazon
Flexible hand sanding blocks made from resilient rubber filled evenly throughout with hard abrasive grit.

Garryflex blocks are ideal for cleaning and polishing all metals and ceramics.

Use instead of emery cloth, wet and dry, wire wool etc.

Grade. Medium.

In Auto SUpply houses they still have them…
