Maybe I missed a post, but does anyone know if we are having problems with people signing up for the website? We used to get about a dozen newbies a day, and now get about one a month….was wondering if there is a site sign up problem. -- Wayne - Plymouth MN |

Martin has temporarily stopped new accounts for the time being. He did so to control some of the junk that was getting on here. I’m sure he will reopen the site soon. |

Thanks GMan…I can log on and use the site ok, but I noticed that not many new members are signing up so I was wondering if there was a problem that new members cant sign up. It sounds like Martin has it restricted right now for new sign ups. -- Wayne - Plymouth MN |

I had heard that there were a couple of guys dumped off for bad stuff they were saying or doing on the site that offended people. Then the re signed on under different names and began to post porn on the forums or blogs. Then new membership was halted and I don’t know if it is turned on yet. I saw the counter at 22,641 for a lot of days. I see the coffee shop is not back yet. -- Jim Jakosh.....Practical Wood Products...........Learn something new every day!! I think Martin is or was having an approval process to stop the pron posters from coming back again & again with new Ids. -- Bob in WW ~ "some old things are lovely, warm still with life ... of the forgotten men who made them." - D.H. Lawrence |

Does anyone know if the “banners in the way of the project images” is temporary? I click on a project and the damn banner is in the way of the image. I’m all for a premium ” web site” to weed out less than desirables and riff-raff. And banner ads. -- so much wood, so little time. Bradford. Wood-a-holics unanimous president |

Thanks Dennis. Yes, I saw what was going on. I knew Martin had closed the coffee lounge forum for that reason, but I hadnt realized the new sign ups had been stopped too. Just hadnt seen many new members in quite a while so was wondering what was up. I thought maybe there was a problem with the website. -- Wayne - Plymouth MN |
