Owners manual instructs one to place a washer on each of the two motor hanging bolts, between outside of frame and face of motor. This creates a pretty flimsy assembly since it prevents the motor’s face from coming in solid contact with the saw’s frame, even with the drive belt properly tensioned. I am sure it is correct since there is an unmistakable photo of this right in the manual, and there is nothing unclear – it is definitely what Laguna wants. I did it but it isn’t as solid as I’d prefer.
Did anyone do anything different?

I don’t know anything about that saw. If the saw is under warranty I’d do what Laguna says. Don’t give any reason to void your warranty.
