Topic tags/keywords: nw florida florida moving clubs lumber store question

Hi LJs,
I have a move coming up, so I wanted to ask a few questions. It will be to the Fort Walton Beach area, and I am excited to see what is in the area.

First, does anyone know about the woodworking scene in NW Florida? Any good lumber stores, or woodworking clubs, or schools? It’s a shame I’ve only been woodworking seriously for a year and a half, and just when I find those sources where I am, I have to move and start over!

Secondly, has anyone had an experience moving their shop? I currently occupy a side of a garage, but I’ll probably have to offload some of my lumber pile. There will still be some good pieces of lumber I’d like to take, in addition to some tools and the workbench.

I certainly appreciate any help or experience anyone has. It will be an exciting time!

And if anyone wants to know about the woodworking scene in SW Ohio, let me know and I’ll share what I’ve picked up while I’ve been here.
