I am looking to get a dust collector for my small garage shop and am curious about this unit… but don’t see reviews anywhere.

This is a 1hp 650-CFM 1-Micron cartridge-style portable dust collector that sells for around $500.

I like:

1 micron
looks solid
650cfm nominal, reported 550cfm actual (reported by manufacturer)
low-ish decibel rating (74)

This will mostly sit with my new cabinet saw, but will get wheeled around for occasional planing and perhaps other machines TBD.

I assume it’s just new, but if anyone has experiences with it to share would love to know. Alternative suggestions welcome, of course. Thank you.

Note – it’s possible there are reviews, the pipe in the product name “b|flux” isn’t too search friendly.

I ended up buying a gently used Jet 1100vx-ck 1.5hp 1100 cfm on Craigslist today. Less than this Laguna and should give me more options.

I did contact Woodcraft, Laguna and Sawstop to ask about the Sawstop pcs working with this Laguna B|flux model. Neither said it wouldn’t work, but the helpful Sawstop guy kept repeating the phrase “more horsepower is better.” Laguna says this unit gets lots of praise (where?) and is super solid for a 1hp. They stopped short of saying it would be good for a table saw. Woodcraft sales guy said he was looking to pick one up for his own small shop due to quality and footprint. And price.

Hope that is helpful to anyone who is searching for information about the bflux b flux b|flux.

I picked up a couple of the B Flux for our shop and can’t recommend them. The filter is so small (short) that it clogs incredibly quickly due to how little surface area there is. We tried one dedicated to the table saw, and another dedicated to two bandsaws and need to clean out the filters within days otherwise the suction drops so dramatically the Saw Stop table saw gets entirely clogged up.

Seriously underpowered and they clog up seriously fast. Also worth noting that cleaning the filters is incredibly difficult due to the fact that they’re so small and tough to get any vaccum or anything into.

Unfortunately very disappointed in these.

Have your say...
