Just got Home Depot email add that this planer is on sale today only for $299. Does anyone have any idea if this is a good unit or not???? Price seems real cheap and I have other Rigid stuff and need one of these. Any help is appreciated. WaynO

already gone. none left one associate said he thought they were updating and gettin a new one

I have this jointer and got it for $249 about a year ago at my local Home Depot. Set up was easy and alignment was spot on out of the box. I built a mobile base for mine as the table was too low for my comfort and needed some portability.

They are probably clearing inventory so I wouldn’t wait to long to pull the trigger.

The fence alignment and adjustment is a major improvement over the cam action version sold on most units, if you’re settled on a 6” unit in my opinion this is one of the better options at entry level.
