I have had good luck with Jet lathes. This is third one I have bought new. One is still in my shop and one is in my brothers shop. All running fine. This one is the first floor model. I mainly turn pens but have wanted something with a little longer bed and room to turn other things and still not take up much room. Runs with almost no sound and 0 vibration. The banjo has a wedge style clamp and two set screws for the 1” tool rest. There are three bearings in the head stock, two are forward in the nose. Tail stock has over 4” of travel and very smooth operating.

Nice! I’m sure you will enjoy the extra capacity. I’m holding out for the new 18-40 DVR. Seems no one has them in stock, yet.
