Does anyone know the answer for making a 110v fan come on when my 220v air compressor kicks on?

I know there are the vacuum ones, but that is 110 through out.

your best bet is to use a contactor to do that job. Should be a cheap $10 part. Just look for a contact with the a 220 VAC coil and run it in parallel with the compressor motor. Don’t worry about power it’s only a few watts.

i know what he ^ says will work. I don’t know offhand if that is the way to go or not.

Contactor or relay (if appropriately sized in HP) controlled by a current switch. Current switches are used for this application all the time.
