Warped panel, removing it with finish on one side?

Glued up an ash panel and had to set it aside for a few weeks in an unheated garage. During that time, it picked up a 1/8” bow.

I’ve been told if I were to oil one side and not the other, it might pull the bow back closer to flat.

Any truth to this?

Maybe maybe not. Did you have it on a bench or something and it cupped up?

Bingo. Set it on my workbench without adding stickers underneath and the next time I walked into my shop, it looked like a halfpipe
