Cabs is a request i get weekly now that my friends know I have tools. But I have heard 13 ply baltic birch is the best wood to use, I’ve looked online but with not much luck as to what people should use. any help would be greatly appreciated!

Great article, thanks. I just had to forward the link to my son who is a Jazz bassist in college. He was looking into repairing one of his amps or building one.

For some interesting ideas on finish and construction, the Mesa Boogie custom collection is a must see. Botique musical gear is in right now. I was going to build my son a tube amp and custom combo box for Christmas but tone is a personal thing so I figured I better let him pick his own sound.

Here’s the link to the mesa boggie custom gallery.
