Hello fellow lumberjocks, I’m looking to trade someone for a Stanley #4 smooth bottom plane pre 1960. I have a Stanley #2 that I would like to trade for it. I can supply pics if anyone is interested. you can probably sell the #2 and get couple real nice #4’s…

Yes I have thought of that but I’d rather just do a trade, I don’t really need the extra money or the extra # 4… lol thanks though

a good #4 is easy to get. A good #2 not nearly as much. You’d be surprised how useful a #2 is for something like a jewelry box and small things.
