Today is the 25th anniversary of Mario Bros. I’m sure this game means a lot of things for a lot of people, even woodworkers (hopefully). For me, it was the first game my brother and I ever owned and helped start my hobby of gaming. It is also the source of many fights between us over the controllers and game time. I remember having to wait a year to get it though because of my grades lol. Do you remember what you were doing when Nintendo and Mario came out?

I saved up my money and bought my 1st Nintendo when I was in High School.
It was, and still is awesome. Yes, I still have it. It’s now hooked up to it’s own TV so my 6 yo can play it.
And I also have the box it came in!

You can’t post 1/2 finished projects on here, so none of you have seen the Mario brick shelves I have been building for my son.

My kids used to get mad at me and my brother in law whenever we started playing. I think that we were bigger kids than they. Dad, are ya’ll done yet?

i walked beans for a whole summer when I was 7 or 8 to buy it. it cost $100! We ordered it from the Sears catalog. It came in at the Sears catalog “store” in my town. definitely got my money’s worth out of that machine. I enjoyed Mario 1, 2, and 3. My favorite is probably Mario brothers 2.

2 was a very different game than all their others. I liked that one too, my favorite is 3, Super Mario Bros.

Walk beans???
