anyone know of a good place to track some of these down? I have a grizzly planer w/ a helical head insert. Had to drill out a half dozen or so screws that were stuck, can't really find replacements other than from Grizzly. Looks like they're m6 15mm flat head torx screws. Closest I've found was at Fastenal but the heads were way too fat on thosse.

Be careful of the angle under the head, different carbide insert manufacturers use different shapes and angles under the head of the screws to lock the insert down without cracking it. Grizzly may be buying an off the shelf insert and if you can figure out where they get it an industrial supply house like MSC may have the matching screws.

I would stick with the OEM gear from Grizzly. Mine is a Shelix brand, and I can't imagine putting in local hardware screws and hoping they work. Pretty tight clearances in some machines, and a lot of variables such as length, tread pitch, head type and angle, and metal grade.

Do it once, do it right.

Hope shipping doesn't take too long for you.
