Life has a way sometimes… Being a grandparent has turned out to be much more hands on than I would have predicted.

Short version our daughter moved back home with one year old Sam and 8 months later was blessed with a daughter Anna, we then moved, lost a few of family members, fast forward a couple years and here we are.

I no longer have the fully equipped 20X25 basement shop I had before, sold off all the power tools except a band saw and 1950’s Craftsman 8” table saw. Everything has been boxed until recently. I am slowly getting back in to woodworking but with mostly hand tools. Most of my woodworking now consists of brief periods sawing hammering hand planing with my 4 year old grandson, we don’t accomplish much in the way of finished projects we are having fun in the garage wood shop.

So I am back and looking forward to commenting/contributing and generally get back to visiting with you all again.

Merry Christmas 2016,

My mate hosts his separated son and daughter-in-law, two grand kids and the mother-in-law. He loves them all dearly but still refers to them as the “squatters”. Aussie humor. lol
