Hitachi M 12V collet

If you have been a good boy, perhaps Santa will leave a 1/2” collet in your stocking tonight. But if you have been naughty, my recollection of the M 12V is that it employs a 1/2” collect chuck. However it may use a sleeve reducer for 1/4” router bits, although I believe the 1/4” collet chuck was the part included with the router. I replaced the M 12V router with the Hitachi M 12V2 router a few years ago, which to my eye is the same router as the M 12V, just a fancier look. The M 12V2 came with 1/2” and 1/4” collet chucks. A 3/8” collet sleeve is available as an optional accessory for the M 12V2.

Thanks JBrow for the links. That’s kind’a what I’ve been finding…collet chucks. Guess that’s what I’ll need to order. Weird that ya can’t just order a collet only for these things.
