Flex Seal on dust collection joints?

Has anyone tried using Flex Seal for their dust collection system?

I am upgrading to a 6 inch main line and am using metal heating ducts. I would like the ducts to be white so I was going to use white Flex Seal to seal and paint in one step.

Does anyone see any problems with this plan?

Thanks

I used silicon caulk to seal the ducting.

Not sure if Flex Seal will get into the large gaps well enough to seal it off. You can use the Flex Shot, but that is very expensive compared to silicon caulk.

Just get the kind that can painted over then you can paint after. It's not a one-step process but might be better at getting into the holes from the crimps in metal ducting.
