Topic tags/keywords: freud router parts Hi, all - I have one of the Freud FT3000VCE routers (they had a short lifetime). It’s my only plunge router, and I recently broke the clear plastic dust collection attachment. This thing is, IMO, unusable without dust collection. Does anyone have any idea where I might find one, or what might be a compatible replacement? Thanks for any ideas… -- M. Zimmers |

I use one in my router table. I had one die and bought a replacement on ebay. I “think” I still have the dead one and I “think” it still has the shroud on it. I’ll check in the morning. The quotes are indicators that my “thinker” ain’t what it used to be. -- Please Pray for Our Troops / Semper Fi / Bob Ross / www.theborkstore.com |

Hi, Bob - Thanks very much for checking on that. And, I know very well that feeling of a thinker that is past its prime… -- M. Zimmers |

I think I may have one although it’d be for an FT2200 so I’m not sure if it’d be the same size or not. Just dong a quick search, they look similar. I’ll see if I can find it in case Bob’s not able to find the one he’s thinking of. |

Sorry to say the shroud on my dead router is gone. I think the one I bought was missing it and I did a transplant. -- Please Pray for Our Troops / Semper Fi / Bob Ross / www.theborkstore.com |

Hey, Bob – thanks for looking. Jon: I have no idea about the size. The one for my router uses two machine screws, just under 3 inches apart. I guess this is where someone should just break down and buy a Festool, huh? -- M. Zimmers |

I found the attachment for the FT2200, but I was wrong about it matching the FT3000 as it’s square. I also have an FT1701 and I know the one for it is round. I’ll have to look a little more and see if I can find it. When I do I’ll get a picture of it so you can make sure it’s the right size to fit your router. |

I went through my router table this weekend moving everything to the workstation I’m building and didn’t see it. It may still be around somewhere but I’m at a loss as to where. I’ll try to keep an eye out though and if I come across it I’ll let you know. |

Thanks for looking, Jon. I think I’ll be investing in a new router soon anyway…something with a nice DC system. (As a sidebar, I’m amazed that PC doesn’t have a better answer for this.) -- M. Zimmers |
