All I know is that I’m happy as heck, and can’t stop smiling! I’ve got a “real” table saw. This Hitachi C10fl was on craigslist for $250, so I went to take a look. No rust at all. I checked for flatness, parallel miter slots, motion of raising and bevel cranks, and then vibration. All were perfect. The guy had all original equipment, and when I checked, the blade wrench was still in a factory sealed platic bag. He had a black & decker blade on it that was gummed up (all he used it for was pine and PT) and I immediately took it off and threw it away.

What was really crazy was that I was in the process of building a masonite top and fence for my Delta bench top because I just couldn’t stand the burn marks I was getting on my rips. Oh well, maybe I can use it in some other way.

Deal or not, color me happy!

NICE! congratulations on the new tool. all the reviews I read on it were positive. definitely safer than that masonite top on your delta…

It looks to be in beautiful condition. A deal for sure.
Congratulations on the upgrade!

I was checking a new one out at Lowe’s. Just to much money at the time. I’ve never had a Hitachi TS, but I have had a lot of other tools made by them and never had one complaint. Give us a review after you have had it for a while.
This is a big step up from the old Delta. I wish you many happy hours in the play room with your new toy. Rand

Thank you, everyone. Here’s a short side note, my B’day was 6-14, and anyone who has had any contact with me for the last 6 months or so knows I have been in a depressed state of mind over the TS situation. I say 6 months because before that, I really didn’t know the limitations of my poor Delta. You people opened my eyes (that’s right, it’s all YOUR fault) to what a table saw could do. I’d look at the Delta and think, I can’t make this jig, can’t use a dado, what’s the use of getting a ForrestWWII. I tried to explain myself to the LOML, and she’d say, OK dear, do you have those doors done yet?

Well, I picked up the saw on the 13th (just before my B’day) and told her. She said”What!!” “I was going to buy you one, I was going to Sears today to get a gift card for THIS” She then showed me the newspaper flier from Sears. I almost died.

Not that I’m a snob, but after researching TS and looking at them for 6 months, I knew I would not be happy with this saw and I felt like a death row inmate that just got the call from the governor. If she had bought that, there would be no way that I could have returned it. Just the way it is.

So, I’m doubly happy! Thanks for looking, folks, and I will review after I have a chance to check it out.
