I was checking a new one out at Lowe’s. Just to much money at the time. I’ve never had a Hitachi TS, but I have had a lot of other tools made by them and never had one complaint. Give us a review after you have had it for a while.
This is a big step up from the old Delta. I wish you many happy hours in the play room with your new toy. Rand

Thank you, everyone. Here’s a short side note, my B’day was 6-14, and anyone who has had any contact with me for the last 6 months or so knows I have been in a depressed state of mind over the TS situation. I say 6 months because before that, I really didn’t know the limitations of my poor Delta. You people opened my eyes (that’s right, it’s all YOUR fault) to what a table saw could do. I’d look at the Delta and think, I can’t make this jig, can’t use a dado, what’s the use of getting a ForrestWWII. I tried to explain myself to the LOML, and she’d say, OK dear, do you have those doors done yet?

Well, I picked up the saw on the 13th (just before my B’day) and told her. She said”What!!” “I was going to buy you one, I was going to Sears today to get a gift card for THIS” She then showed me the newspaper flier from Sears. I almost died.

Not that I’m a snob, but after researching TS and looking at them for 6 months, I knew I would not be happy with this saw and I felt like a death row inmate that just got the call from the governor. If she had bought that, there would be no way that I could have returned it. Just the way it is.

So, I’m doubly happy! Thanks for looking, folks, and I will review after I have a chance to check it out.
