Is there a way to modify a 1/2 inch bore shaper to take a 3/4 inch cutter? I’ve been looking in the forums and saw a posting where someone mentioned using a T bushing to do it but they didn’t go into any details. I found what appears to be the needed T – bushing at but I’m not 100% sure if it will work. (I’m assuming it is the first one listed on the page).

Would love to hear from anyone who has tried this to hear about their results. Would also like to know if the first bushing shown on the page link above is what I need to make the modification.

Yes, that is what you need to run 3/4” bore cutters. But, many shaper cutters require considerable hp to cut reasonably. You may not have the power needed with a 1/2” spindle shaper.
